Blogs are now live!

Hillnote could be the start of your next blog?

Hello there! I’m never sure on what to say when I start typing. Maybe its the empty page that I feel forces me to ramble but It does bring out something innate in me. I feel forced to write something or say something profound.

But sometimes there is nothing to say.

Hillnote now supports blog posts. This is something I am personally super kicked about and I can’t wait to see what you create with this.

Pasted imageHillnote.com/blog should already be live when you see this. This is the first post! 🙂

Why I’m excited about this

This is a fairly huge and significant unlock for the product. The expansion of the accessory modules has been focus to extend the ways that Hillnote workspaces manifest. We currently cover documentation, wiki’s and blogs.

I am personally kicked to start my personal blog with this in place!

The breakdown

You will need to setup a nextjs project with Shadcn setup already. The NPM (https://www.npmjs.com/package/@hillnote/publish?activeTab=readme) has instructions but essentially.

  1. Run the init command npx @hillnote/publish init

  2. run the Setup command npm run generate-blog --setup

  3. publish your blogs npm run generate-blog --publish

The workflow should look like
move page to public/draft → run the publish script → your blog is now ready!

I do have plans to expand this with a more visual interface but for now nothing should stop you from getting your words out there!

Pasted imageThere will be more announcements to come soon, But for now stay tuned and watch this space for more!
